I am serious about changing the way people think about nutrition, yoga/movement and wellness.

As a wellness enthusiast, I am the passionate Founder/CEO of Ohh Michelle, LLC, a company dedicated to supporting and empowering people to reconnect with their body, mind and soul through nutrition, yoga/movement and wellness.

I am a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, Certified Facilitator through Canyon Ranch Institute, Plant-­Based/Vegan Lifestyle Coach & Chef, Radio Show Host, Speaker, Author and Business Mentor.

I hold a BS  degree from Washington Adventist University.  As a wife and mother of three awesome sons, I have spent decades finding the divine in all endeavours.  Through embracing a plant-­based diet, I healed myself of what doctors insisted was an incurable ailment, Chronic Lung  Disease: Asthma. This experience gave me a deeper connection to food, and proved to be the miraculous ability of the body to heal itself when supported with pure, whole, living foods.

As a holistic health and lifestyle coach, I enjoy empowering clients to make lasting health and life behavior changes that are  cornerstones of lifelong wellbeing.  I empower clients to transform their lives by helping them reconnect with their thoughts to realize what’s really holding them back from living their best lives. In addition, my yoga guidance is used for healing, mindfulness and physical strength and through nutrition, I guide clients on integrative nutrition, tweaking favorite foods and substituting ingredients without compromising flavor and taste!

I am married to my best friend of 22 years, in the Hilton Head, SC area and together we share four Ohhmazing sons.

My Philosophy

Each individual is born with a body at birth to live on earth. As the sole manager of our own body, it is up to the individual to make choices that will benefit the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. No one else can take care of your body except you! Our body will respond based on how we treat it, what we give it and whatever we accept as truth. The body only knows what we tell it and feed it.

Good health isn’t just about going to the gym every day or eating the right foods. Good health also encompasses how we feel about our life, our relationships, career, and spirituality. A healthy life means Living It On Purpose – living and loving life, feeling vibrant & energetic, and being prepared to handle life’s everyday stresses.

Health Coaching is intended to help people create a meaningful lifestyle that causes them to embrace each day fully expecting it to be rewarding and fulfilling because of balance in your life with your primary and secondary foods.

My Training

I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.

My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

My Approach

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.

Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.

Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:

Bio-individuality™:

The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!

Primary Food™:

It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.

Integrative Nutrition™ Plate:

The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!
