OM Flow

For most, yoga is a way of life.  For others, it’s a path to improve health and wellness.  Yoga can improve mindfulness, reduce stress, and if nothing else it’s a great workout.

It’s important to decide what your goals are and focus on improvement, not mastery.  Success doesn’t have to be a full bridge or lotus pose or a 10-minute handstand.  For me, success started with improved breathing, fitness and flexibility. Yoga can also reduce pain.  Now that I have been practicing and teaching or a while, my goals are to improve my yoga skills and help others.  It is my desire that your goals should continue to grow and change just as you grow and change.

Michelle teaches and practices vinyasa flow. This vinyasa practice links breath with movement and teaches us to cultivate an awareness of linking each action to the next. Classes are alignment oriented and includes breath work with movement. Expect to engage in a fluid expression of the poses that seems almost like a dance. Groove to the sounds of a soulful mix or live drumming as you build heat in the body, sweating out toxins, elongating muscles and connective tissue, and relieving stress while moving through this innovative sequence of postures.  Remember, yoga will meet you right where you are and is for all levels of students.

OM Group Yoga

Have a group of people that want to do yoga and want to have the class just to themselves? I would love to reserve a time at Limber or come your house, business, or your venue of choice. The nature of private sessions, is they will be tailored to the needs of you. Let me know what you are looking for and I will create a practice that will benefit the whole group.

OM Corporate Wellness Yoga

yoga2I believe in an integrated approach to wellness and although I saw the differences that eating healthy made—freedom from prescription medication, more energy, remembering and focusing in a way I had not been able to do for years, l did not make the time to exercise nor prepared foods that fuelled my body. I thought that because I was constantly chasing after and playing with my young boys I was getting the necessary exercise; so I didn’t make the time to exercise. On my 47th birthday, I took my first yoga class and it literally opened my eyes to something new, something greater than myself and something tangible benefits. I teach and practice vinyasa flow yoga, which incorporates flowing in a room that is either unheated or heated, concentrating on the whole mind, body spirit experience. All yoga classes are for beginners and the advanced yogi. I realized how many students were coming into my yoga class with a load of stress. Not only did they wear this weight on their faces but I could feel it! This is one of the reasons why I love teaching as the benefits of yoga includes stress reduction and tension, increased strength and balance, increased flexibility, lowered blood pressure and reduced cortisol levels. Practicing yoga allows people to get out of their heads and into their bodies and minds. Michelle offers Yoga and Stress Management services to corporations.
